fis! it was a spanish militiawoman actually (republican). same war as this guy, spanish civil war. and you know, gerda taro (who took the picture of the woman) and robert capa (who took this one, duh, you know, but for the benefit of those lurking) were married and actually it is possible that she took this picture too!! i just read an article about it the other day here: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/27/arts/design/27kenn.html?ex=1359090000&en=aa9bfdb404376814&ei=5124&partner=delicious&exprod=delicious
